Druid: Pursuer of Darkness #BestOfSaturn

Druid: Pursuer of Darkness is a mid-1998 Koei port of a British 1995 MS-DOS Ultima-like game.

In the land of Navan, four master Druids keep peace in the land, but one of them has disappeared. You take control of an unnamed warrior and are tasked with finding the missing Druid. A blend of action, puzzle, and very light RPG elements, the game takes players through searches, riddles to solve, elements to combine to create new items, and button-mashing hack-n-slash shenanigans.

The game has a decidedly dark and brown color to it and a very 16-bit soundtrack. It’s a fun game, if you can handle the language barrier.
