The iOS version of Saturn emulator Yaba Sanshiro was updated Feb. 26 to enable saving game progress in the cloud as well as support for Action Replay cheat codes, its developer announced.

The free version of Yaba Sanshiro on iOS can be downloaded here, while the paid version (US$4.99) can be downloaded here.
Shinya “DevMiyax” Miyamoto gave step-by-step instructions on his blog for the new features he added to version 1.17.1.
He also posted a video demonstrating the new Action Replay code manager, which lets players toggle codes on and off on the fly.
The more mature Android version of Yaba Sanshiro has had cloud saves since 2023 and Action Replay code support for longer than that, so last week’s iOS update brings that version closer to feature parity with it.

In a social media post Monday, Miyamoto said the Android version of Yaba Sanshiro will be updated “soon.” With it he included a screenshot appearing to show the Action Replay cheat code manager that the iOS version now has.
Yaba Sanshiro began development in late 2015 as a fork of Yabause, an emulator that is no longer actively worked on, to bring it to Android devices. A PC version was released about a year later that’s been occasionally updated alongside the Android version — most recently, it was updated last month.
Its name was changed to Yaba Sanshiro 2 in April 2021 after Google blacklisted the original app for including Action Replay cheats.
The emulator wasn’t approved for the Apple App Store until August last year when Apple changed its policy regarding game emulators.
