Capcom’s Saturn development was among the very best, and one of their finest examples is Vampire Savior — an excellent port of their third Darkstalkers game.

Released in Japan in April 1998, this port uses assets straight from the arcade to look and animate just like the coin-op. Enhanced by the power of the 4MB RAM cartridge, it retains the glorious visuals and fluid animations of the arcade, and even load times are very minimal.

Coupled with excellent controls, multiple mythical characters to choose from, plenty of customizations, and crisp gameplay, we truly have a game that’s worthy of the #BestOfSaturn badge.
