Choro Q Park #BestOfSaturn

Takara’s early 1998 release of Choro Q Park finally saw the Penny Racers brand hit the Saturn after multiple entries on the PlayStation and even a Nintendo 64 game.

This kart racing game is cute, features nicely appropriate music, and is technically sound. There are loads of cars to choose from, collect and find, as well as some nice options to recolor and otherwise customize your vehicle.

Also novel is your turbo power as you race – it refills at every checkpoint, so managing it effectively is key. Fun for the whole family!

A Saturn fan since the beginning, Peter plays Saturn almost exclusively. For Peter, Saturn represents a moment in time where 2D games were at their best, 3D was just rising, and fascinating gaming 'firsts' were commonplace.  There are very few Saturn games that Peter cannot find some enjoyment in!

  1. Another cool looking Saturn game I’ve never heard of! Great feature and will definitely need to checkout! Thanks Peter!! 🚘

  2. The game is quite fun if you really dig into it. The first cars aren’t the best but after a few hours you will unlock amazing cars. The 2 players mode is pretty neat
