Culdcept #BestOfSaturn

Another long-running series that got its start on SEGA Saturn, OmiyaSoft’s Culdcept landed on Japanese consoles in late 1997.

This is a strategy game done in the style of a series of board games. Progress is dependent on using cards and forcing your opponents onto certain squares on the board. The visuals are quite awesome and the score, composed by Yuzo Koshiro, is spectacular.

Again heavy in Japanese, there is nevertheless a fair amount of spoken English. Perhaps not for casual gamers, but certainly worth your look, hardcore Saturn fan!

  1. Culdcept is the best card game on Saturn ( arcana strikes is second). The game is deep and to collect all cards is exciting. A must have even if the game isn’t English friendly. I have done a quick review of it on my YouTube channel
