FEDA Remake! The Emblem of Justice #BestOfSaturn

FEDA The Emblem of Justice, a 1994 Super Famicom strategy role-playing game, got the Saturn remake treatment exclusively in Japan in mid-1996. The Balformian Empire is rife with corruption and appears on the verge of imploding. Taking the roles of soldiers Brian and Ain, you defect from the empire and work to liberate its oppressed populace.

An SRPG with gameplay alternating between in-town exploration and upgrading, and tactical battles in the field, the draw is that there are peaceful ways to end battles … so your characters can align to Chaos (always killing all enemies) or to Law (pacifism).

Text-heavy, the game features gorgeous pixel art and long, drawn-out battles.

A Saturn fan since the beginning, Peter plays Saturn almost exclusively. For Peter, Saturn represents a moment in time where 2D games were at their best, 3D was just rising, and fascinating gaming 'firsts' were commonplace.  There are very few Saturn games that Peter cannot find some enjoyment in!

  1. When, oh when, will someone finally take the SNES translation of FEDA and shove it into the Saturn Remake?
