G Vector is a 3D, third-person shmup that reminds of games like Space Harrier and Panzer Dragoon.
You are equipped with both a standard shot and a lock-on laser, and you move a reticle across the screen and target enemies. The 3D is serviceable and the action is fast-paced.
You have some shield power so you aren’t a one hit wonder, but should you die, even at the stage boss, it’s back to the beginning for you! Another expensive Japan-only Saturn title, but a good one.
