Partly inspired by the ThunderForce series, Hyper Duel is a 1993 TechnoSoft arcade horizontal shmup that got a Japanese Saturn release in late 1996.

Man one of the highly experimental Buster Gears — an advanced system that transforms from ship to mecha — and aim to recover the stolen Black Angel from terrorists.

Yet another Saturn gem that stayed in Japan, but the language barrier isn’t a huge issue here. Colorful and exciting, Hyper Duel is a great game.
