The three 16-bit Golden Axe games were the bee’s knees… so is Saturn Golden Axe: The Duel the cat’s meow? Switching to a 2D 1:1 fighting game, the game retains many of the series’ charm, but the underlying fighting game is average at best. Initially a low-key ST-V release, the Saturn port is quite accurate, but the arcade original never set the world on fire. Golden Axe fans will love it… probably… #BestOfSaturn?
