VM2: The Next-Gen VMU Indiegogo Campaign Successfully Funded!

Back in September, we covered the Indiegogo launch for the VM2, the next-gen MicroSD compatible VMU for the Dreamcast. Even further back, we also covered the concept by Chris Diaoglou all the way back in May of this year.

After launching the Indiegogo campaign, it finally finished up with $177,608 backed by 1,081 backers! This is (So far) the 2nd highest amount of money backed for any Dreamcast project (The first belonging to the Elysian Shadows Kickstarter back in 2017).

Currently, the campaign has been closed, and no other pre-orders are being taken at this time. The delivery expectation for the VM2’s to start shipping, is around July of next year. Hopefully by then, pre-orders or orders in general will open up for this handy device.

We’ll be keeping an eye out, and let you know any further developments on the project, and when orders can be placed for it in the future!
