Beetle Saturn Added to RetroArch on Steam

RetroArch’s Beetle Saturn core came to Steam this week. It was added as downloadable content to the main RetroArch release on Steam. Both are free.

Beetle Saturn is the Mednafen emulator ported to RetroArch’s Libretro platform, which runs a variety of retro console emulators within its framework.

It comes less than two weeks after the standalone RetroArch’s Beetle Saturn got its first update in years, bringing it to feature parity with version 1.29 of Mednafen.

Playing Beetle Saturn on Steam as opposed to the standlone release brings a few advantages — easy access to remote play and Steam input configuration, cloud sync for saves, and automatic updates for RetroArch and the Saturn core.
