Back in November of 2021, we reported on a new device from Will’s Console Modifications providing a toggle switch that would allow Fenrir owners to keep their CD-ROM drives in place and switch between the Fenrir and CD drive at will… Since then, Will’s had a batch sell out, and he’s announced another batch of 40 kits to be available (limit 1 per customer) on Monday, March 21st at 5:30pm GMT (10:30am Pacific / 1:30pm Eastern). • This version is suitable for 20 Pin consoles.
• SD Cart Slot for the Fenrir and CD/ODE switch is located in the rear expansion bay.
• Only 1 wire soldering required.

NEW FENRIR MOUNT UPDATE:

• A problem was found that some Sega Saturns had a different lid opening mechanism.
• A new mount has been designed and the STL file is available to download here: Click HERE.

Install Instructions:

1. You will need some new very thin double sided tape and access to the 3D printer.
2. If you don’t have access to a 3D printer, please use the contact form, and I will send a new Mount.
3. You will need to remove the SHORT ribbon cable from the Switcher Board to the Fenrir ODE.
4. You will need to remove the LONG ribbon cable from the Saturn Motherboard to the Switcher PCB
5. In the install video, it said to leave a few MM between the Saturn Shell and the Mount. Ignore this.
6. Apply double sided tape to the 3D Mount to secure it to the Saturn Shield.
7. Apply double sided tape to the Switcher PCB to secure it to the 3D Mount.
8. Use the SHORT ribbon cable from the Saturn Motherboard to the Switcher PCB.
9. Use the LONG ribbon cable from the Switcher PCB to the Fenrir ODE.
10. Connect the 3 Pin Connector (Yellow, Black and Red) back to the Switcher PCB.
11. Use double sided tape to secure the Fenrir ODE to the mount.
12. Test and Enjoy!
