Sakura Wars 25TH Anniversary Orchestral Concert Announced by SEGA

Today, May 21st, the Sakura Wars official website announced that an Orchestral concert will be taking place to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Sakura Wars on July 28, 2021 at Shibuya’s Orchard Hall.

The concert will be led by Kohei Tanaka, the composer for the 1st Sakura Wars game released on Saturn, and the most recent entry on the PlayStation 4.

Tickets will be priced as followed (Courtesy of Combat Revue Review):

  • B-Class: 6,800 Yen ($62.45 USD)
  • A-Class: 7,800 Yen ($71.64 USD)
  • S-Class: 8,800 Yen ($80.82 USD)
  • S-Class (With Bonus): 13,800 Yen ($126.74 USD)

They are now on sale, but whether you can get to Japan in time for the concert, is another story..

In addition, several guests vocalists have been announced as well, who have a major involvement in the Sakura Wars franchise (Again, thanks to of Combat Revue Review for the info):

  • Noriko Hidaka (Erica Fontaine, Sakura Wars 3)
  • Yuna Sekine (Sakura Amamiya, Shin Sakura Taisen the Stage)
  • Rina Takahashi (Hatsuho Shinonome, Shin Sakura Taisen the Stage)
  • Yui Kanchiku (Azami Mochizuki, Shin Sakura Taisen the Stage)
  • Juri Hirayu: (Anastasia Palma, Shin Sakura Taisen the Stage)
  • Natsume Oki (Clarissa Snowflake, Shin Sakura Taisen the Stage)

If you live in Japan, or can get there in time to see the concert, we’d highly recommend checking it out! The music of Sakura Wars is fantastic, and hearing it live would be a real treat!
