A new port of Virtua Fighter 5 is showing signs of life. An age rating in Korea for Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown for PlayStation 4 is posted online.
The Korean website says Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown is an action game putting opponents in a one to one match by selecting characters with a variety of skills. It is being classified in the country as a game for people 12 years old and up, due to minor sexual themes and violence.
This appears to be another remake of the fifth Virtua Fighter game, first released to arcades in 2006. The website does not say what regions it will be available in, when it comes out, or what other platforms it might be on. It is unclear if this has any relation to the Virtua Fighter x eSports project first announced by SEGA in September of 2020.
