Video of Cancelled Dreamcast Game Castlevania Resurrection Appears Online!

Castlevania Resurrection was to be a 3D Castlevania game released on the Sega Dreamcast. Due to disagreements with the Japanese and American Konami teams, the announcement of the PS2, and the weary future of the Dreamcast, the game was eventually cancelled in March of 2000

With no real gameplay footage ever being released of the game (Besides the game’s intro, screen captures, and some concept art), the chances of actual gameplay footage, let alone a game disc release, was next to zero.

21 years later, a YouTube user named cvr exists, released a video titled Castlevania Resurrection Exists!, Showcasing what appears to be an alpha/beta demo of the game:

The video itself showcases a few levels with some enemy interaction. All footage is filmed off a TV screen, so it’s a bit hard to see details of the game itself.

It’s not much, but the fact anything has been released is amazing! There’s been no announcement if this will be dumped online, or auctioned off at a later date.

Whatever the fate of the game is, we’ll be sure to let you know!
